A
mountain view of the La Floresta #57 home.

One
of the many lovely bedrooms available at La
Floresta #57.
These
homes are filled with lots of love!! |

This
sign is above the La Floresta #57 home. It means
"House of your Grandparents". In Mexican
culture, their "elders" are treated
with the utmost respect.
La
Floresta #57 is also a large domicile
with many bedrooms, bathrooms and a large wrap-around
porch, as well as a beautiful pool. The grounds
are lovely for visits with clients and gives
an aesthetic view and pleasure for the clients. This
is also a completely locked facility as many
of the clients here are stricken with Alzheimer's.
For this concession, special attention is paid
to all of the clients by all of the nursing
staff at this home.
Many
hotels are close by these facilities. One of
the most beautiful in the area is the Hotel
Real de Chapala, which sits "katty-korner"
from the La Floresta #7 home, and just up the
street from the La Floresta #57 home. To view
information regarding their offerings and registration,
please go to www.realdechapala.com.mx.

La
Canacinta has
a main house where non-ambulatory clients
can stay and are constantly monitored. There
are also apartments on the property and are
monitored by nursing staff on a consistent
basis. Frequently throughout the day, exercise
classes are held on the terazza (terrace)
and there is always something good cooking
in the kitchen! Pepe', Alicia's husband is
most frequently at this location to help clients
with their med's and to take them to their
doctor's visits. Octavio, Marlen and Memo
(Alicia's sons and Memo's wife's sister) help
clients up and down as needed and Memo's wife,
Norma cooks wonderful meals, along with other
staff. Their son, Christopher helps to keep
the "young" spirit alive in a house
that is full of a lot of familial love.
